Or is there a way to just expand how the metadata is downloaded?

i.e. book is: "Grimoires and Where to Find Them (The Case Files of Henri Davenforth Book 6)"

Better to truncate the stuff within the parenthesis?

suggestions welcome.
I would edit the title to be Grimoires and Where to Find Them deleting the series information. Why Amazon has this love for placing the series and genre information in the title? Ghod alone knows.
