I also have a meat slicer quite literally from the 50's, (inherited from hubby's Grandmother), an electric waffle iron from the 1940's (not kidding) which Hubby uses and refuses to use a new one; The KA stand mixer (Odin Bless it). My InstaPot--love at first use. And all the usual Kitchen detritus, gizmos and gadgets. (sigh). But a proper Food processor? Gods forfend.

Yeah, any newer ones you bought probably would not be worth it.

I bought a new top loading washing machine in about 2005. Approximately ten years later the lid switch broke (cheap plastic part that lets the machine know the lid is closed so the motor will run). It cost over $100 to pay a repairman to fix it. He said the quality of newer machines was worse and it was definitely worth fixing the old one. It's still going strong. It's not computerized and doesn't have all the latest bells and whistles, but it does have variable water levels and a good variety of wash cycles. I just hope lid switches will still be available next time it needs one!
