I'm not sure it's the same behaviour, i've got a Nova 2.
With latest fw if i erase upon a template, for instance a squared sheet, i can definitely see where the drawing was touching the template until i do a refresh.
Doesn't bother me, but it was new.
I did notice that this effect is not present if i'm in A2 mode
