You should try it out. I have mine exactly where I want it so I don’t want to screw it up.

Just remember to write down all of your color settings before you modify them and make them terrible for the test.
ETA: I’m starting to see a few people with older TVs and/or poorly calibrated TVs saying the ATV calibration substantially improved the color balance. I bet most people trying the ATV calibration have newer TVs that are already calibrated fairly well.

No, my settings are really good. I think the problem I have with “The Crown” is that in season 4 there are many scenes inside dark rooms with the actors placed between the camera and brightly lit windows. With the camera facing the bright windows everything else tends to fade away into the dark. So it is likely more of a directorial issue than a Netflix issue. It makes me want to roll up a newspaper and smack the director on the nose like a puppy that just piddled on the floor.
