Yeah, I agree with you. My GL3 is buggy, but only after I connect it to Calibre. (Not that Calibre is the problem. It's when the Nook has to update its database.)

The better half took the 3, so I read on a Kobo Clara and a Glowlight Plus (the 6" 2015 one.) I so badly wish either of those had the quality of orange lighting the 3 has.

What is it you hate? Yeah, I would like to add custom fonts. But the included fonts are a nice selection and there are enough choices in size available that I don't feel like one font is too large and the other is too small.

I like the Nook's library view. I like the larger cover size. I like the ability to sort by author and stack their books, or not. You can do the same with series, though unfortunately it only works with books from B&N (man, I wish Calibre could access the Nook's database).

I like the little progress bar that shows beneath any books you are currently reading.

I love the Nook's layout and formatting. The book's page numbers are at the bottpm of the screen and bringing up the slider bar will tell you how many pages are left in the chapter. That's nice.

I mean, I don't know. Maybe I'm not the most demanding user. But I really do enjoy the software on the Nook.

Things I would like changed:
  • Add custom fonts
  • Don't use half the home screen for recommendations.
  • Swap the profile and currently reading buttons. The currently reading button used to be persistant at the top left so no matter how deep into a menu you might be, a single tap took you back to your book.
  • Bring back the ability to add custom lock screens.
  • Make the database accessible so series and shelves could be controlled via Calibre.

If it is the bugginess of the software, that is Glowlight 3 specific. The Glowlight 3 and the Plus use the same software and the Plus is bug free.
