That just feels like a borked/incomplete MRPI install.
Check if there's an actual MRPI log created (in a log folder in the extensions's own folder, IIRC), and if not, KUAL's own logs (/tmp/KUAL.log, IIRC. You'll need a shell).

EDIT: And/or, possibly, an outdated bridge. Try to run the hotfix again, and then reboot *twice*.
