I upgraded my MacBook Pro 2014 to Mojave 10.14.6 about 2 or 3 weeks ago. It was mostly another security update. Unfortunately it rendered Safari into a super slow browser. I estimate Safari is about 1/4 as fast as it was before the update. Everything else seems okay though. I prefer Safari over the 3rd party options like Chrome and FireFox. But I might have to switch to FireFox if Apple doesn't correct whatever stupid thing they did to break Safari. No way I’ll use Chrome. I’m sure Google has enough of my personal data already! I prefer Safari because it is so seamless using it across my MacBook Pro, iPhone XR, and two iPads. I know FireFox can sink too, but I don't really trust using any 3rd party browser and thus sharing my bookmarks and surfing history with them. I know websites get a lot of my data through tracking me even in Safari, but I just feel better about Apple than I do FireFox, and I don't trust Google at all.
