Hi,
I did try to search for the solution but could not find anything relevant. If this post is a duplicate, please let me know.

I am using Calibre 5.16.1 on Windows 10.

I have changed the default Epub Output to 3. [Preferences - Conversion - Output Options - Epub output - EPUB Version = 3 (default 2)]

But, Epub generated by Scheduled News Download is still creating Epub2 files.

To check that - I am opening the Containing Folder and looking at ".opf" file.

IF I edit the Epub in Calibre & use Tools - Upgrade Book Internals, then the book is modified to Epub3. But the associated ".opf" file is NOT updated.

I also looked into Job Details & there is a Flag " 'epub_version': '2'". But I don't know how to change this permanently.

Questions:
1. How to permanently fix output in Epub3?
2. How to easily see the actual epub file version (specially when .opf file doesn't match with epub file info) ?
