UK user here, feature still not appearing on my Oasis 2.

It is rather strange the way they roll out the updates in such a piecemeal fashion. I'm not sure I'd call it illogical... they probably have some reason for doing it, though it does cause frustration for people who are eagerly awaiting something from an update.

I'm not sure if I'll even use this feature. I don't usually appreciate the book covers showing as screensavers on my Kobo devices, because they often appear skewed and not pretty. I would be more excited by fully custom screensaver images. Also, my Oasis stays in a sleep-cover, as do all my e-readers, so the whole thing is a bit trivial in my case.

Here's a feature I really would be excited about: the ability to open the dictionary from inside a book, as you can with Kobo devices. Presently, to do this on a Kindle you have to look up a word and then open the dictionary from a menu. This is just inelegant, but also means you get loads of unintended words being added to your word-wise that you have to manually delete.
