My parents both have an appointment for their first vaccination. My mother was able to make an appointment a week ago, she's a year older than my father. But initially she wanted to wait until my father also could make an appointment, so they could go together.
Since she's got a lot of health problems we convinced her to make the appointment, which she did on Tuesday. She's getting vaccinated on Thursday and then the 27th of May, in the afternoon.
On Thursday it was announced that people born in 1952 were also eligible to get vaccinated. At first it wasn't clear from which date, but it later turned out it was effective immediately. My father booked his appointment two days ago and will also get his shots on 22 April and 27 May, but at night. Both get the Pfizer jab.
There are stories that people have to wait months and/or travel far to get vaccinated. We're lucky we have an XL testing and vaccination location nearby.
I'm so happy they, and especially my mom, get vaccinated soon. Can't wait to get vaccinated myself, though that will probably be a while with all the problems going on.
