never too late to catch up you know.  you might try reading in french, it's an excellent way to learn vocabulary. try feedbooks for instance for some great french litterature.

I might just do that. I've had a yen for awhile to learn another language, but never got around to it. My experiences with France as a country have been only two in number.
The first time I was eight or nine years old, passing through Paris on a coach, watching the lights strobing on the windows, and seeing nothing of Paris at all.
The second was a college trip at seventeen when I got blazingly drunk and ended up in per Lachaise hunting for Jim Morrison with a gaggle of other drunken teenagers

At least that's what I think happened, the rest of the trip was spent feeling very sick and disorientated.
Ahhh.... memories.
