Some brands of SD cards up to 1 GB are known to work in the MMC slot. SD-CF adapters also work, but if I am reading the thread below correctly the CF style data on the SD card can't be read using a SD card reader. See Iliad Memorycards list and Are all 1 Gb SD cards supported...?.
