Device: Toshiba m200, and viewsonic airsync v210--- Yes! :-)
Guys.. thanks for the great info-- the viewsonic model info was a lot of help and just just ordered one, that's a creative solution. (poor man's iliad!)..

I thought i'd share some ideas along similar lines... I've been collecting tons of PDFs that i mostly read on my pc or laptop for years. I'm a compulsive PDA & phone upgrader and have gone through piles of them (literally).. and have always hated reading on the tiny screen of PDA's or phones.. never got around to buying a book reader, because i coulnd't afford the ones that did what i needed--- large screen, high resolution, and decent 'standard' PDF support.. in other words the irex readers for $800+... i saw the eslick and a couple of others appear to have good pdf support, but can't get myself to look at shrunken lettersize pages that have tables, and code on the little screens.

a while back i picked up a toshiba m200 tablet pc.. great design and features.. too heavy to carry around everyday, but i do take it out sometimes.. very high resolution for the size.. type looks really realistic.. screen rotation is easy and controls are intuitive.. full browsing etc. like a real computer and under $200 used now for a machine that used to sell for $3000 when it came out.. different ball game in terms of quality.

if you're into getting a second or third reader device that you can use also around the house for net browsing, this can be it.
