I find it highly unlikely that this is accidental. It looks like a pilot project between Amazon and a single publisher to me. There is a new set of downloading restrictions, a new enhanced DRM, and a new "Look Inside" format associated with these books.

I agree that negative feedback to Amazon and the publisher is a good idea, but since these books are intended for a market in another country I am not going to bother.
