Yesterday they mentioned that the US hit the 100 million people vaccinated goal already and hope to get to 200 million in the next 42 days (or thereabouts). With more vaccines coming soon we should be in better shape, as long as enough people choose to get vaccinated. Plus at least some of the pharmaceutical companies with vaccines are already working on boosters for variants.
The US and other first world countries need to do as much as possible to help poor nations get vaccinated too.
