Apologies for responding to my own response, but I didn't make any sense at the end of the first one. So... I should try again. When you have added the Boox to your google account, and it wont let you add your email to sign in to play, you can use either the google settings or an app that will sign you in to your google account. This will bypass being unable to sign into google play store. Once the account is added to the other app, google play works.
