Yes, Sigil 1.4.3 and 1.5.1 has no way to remove the config folder and its contents unless that exact same folder path was somehow set as the path to a temporary folder and set that way in Sigil's preferences.
So my guess is something else cleaned it out.
Could a change in Windows 10 settings or a registry change, change the location for Sigil to save its Preferences to? If so the old config folder may still be lurking about at the old location.
Good thing you had backups!
