Kindles are getting worse about books on the device not showing and the firmware seems to be getting flakier in general.

From my POV, anything beyond the latest 5.10.x is undesirable.

I concede that if you only do a 5.10.x for KV that would lock out people with a KV already beyond that.

I am not in a rush on the KV, so I might wait for the dust to settle or bite the bullet and try to do a serial port JB.

I don't think I want to start testing these right now, covering 5.9-5.10 would likely take 4-5 different images. If you have a specific firmware version in mind, I'm happy to help, sent you a PM!

Later down the line if more people want this, I'll consider testing all the versions, but it's definitely not priority right now.
