No need to be sorry. Testing your sample helped me identify a previously unknown bug which happens for books with no calibre library cover if the plugin is configured to embed the cover thumbnail in each MP3 ... even if that wasn't your actual problem!
Let's call it a happy accident.
I'll release a plugin update in the next few days.
