Not without removing the DRM. As Apprentice Alf's blog says: Support for removing DRM from rented or library ebooks is not provided. A stand I agree with since it is not my book so keeping a copy for backup or other purposes is just immoral IMNSHO.

So, Jon, unless you have a solution for editing the CSS in an epub with DRM in place, please stop telling people to "fix it and side load it".
