The Cook of the Halcyon is the last Montalbano book to be translated to English. Unfortunately it doesn't wrap up the series. From what I can gather it was originally written earlier as a movie script, then rewritten when that deal fell through. So we're left with no follow up to the way things were left at the end of The Sicilian Method, a bit of a disappointment.
Almost done with Maigret now too after Maigret in Vichy, another one done from a refreshing viewpoint, I'm not expecting a definitive finale for Maigret given the way the timeline has jumped around (e.g. into then back out of retirement) but we'll see.
