I've never downloaded a sample before, but I would think they're saved in the same place as full ebooks you download, (in Windows) drive:\Users\your username\Documents\My Kindle Content
Full ebooks are saved as .AZW files, samples probably are, too.
Just drag it from that folder and drop it in your Calibre and it should show up.
