I don't own an iPad Mini but do have a iPad Pro supplied by my employer. What I find funny is that most if not all of the Android eInk devices lose the light weight and long battery life of the Linux based eInk readers. Without those advantages, I might as well go for the faster, full colour display of an Apple or Android tablet.

I don't read many PDFs on my Forma since my laptop and iPad Pro are the preferred devices for the tech manuals that I have in PDF format. I've used either KOReader or Plato on Kobo devices to read PDF when I need to. I also use K2PDFOPT on the PDF files before transferring to my Kobos to make them reading them on a smaller screen as painless as possible.
