Do "Most" Ares Drain Battery Fast ? (and Mars?)

MY previous post about Ares should have been more to the point and I dfon't know how to delete it.

There are reports of the Likebook Ares consuming battery power much faster than most devices.

Is this a common occurance, or just luck of the draw?

Two specific reports in here say it's almost a daily charge, and the other that it is kept plugged in and turned off if not in use.

I wanted to use an Ares as a daily eReader, same as a Kobo Forma, with at least similar expectations on battery. But, is it as simple as Kobo lasts weeks for reading but Android E-Ink lasts days?

Would love to see some Ares user experiences here.

(ps- does the Mars drain similarly?)
