.kobo/Kobo/Kobo eReader.conf should contain:

ExcludeSyncFolders=(\\.(?!kobo|adobe).+|([^.][^/]*/)+\\..+)

It'll delete all the images once you do, so you'll need to reinstall KOReader/Plato, but there's no need to reset anything.
