I'm beginning to wonder about this discussion. What I said is that the substrate used for the eInk Mobius display which is layer 8 in the diagram is made of plastic. That layer is the one that is most susceptible to cracking or breaking going by all the reports seen on MobileRead and elsewhere. The top layers of a Mobius display can be plastic as in their flexible displays or the same as in a standard glass substrate eInk display.
