	Transparent micro-capsules
	Positively charged white pigments
	Negatively charged black pigments
	Transparent oil
	Electrode pixel layer
	Bottom supporting layer
	Light
	White
	Black
Since the eInk substrate is not in the light path, it has no effect on the display. Please also note that item 1 labelled as the upper layer will have various layers above it such as the light guide, capacitive touch screen, matte surface layer, etc.
I assume that drawing comes form wikipedia, which does not state it's source. It's pretty good overall, but the depiction of "black" light reflecting is cringe worthy.
