I would not consider advice on maintaining multiple backups as being useless. And yes, back in 2014, DVDs/CDs were still commonly used backup media.

And did you perchance miss message #4 in this thread where @spiralmind4 mentioned comparing the original books to the copies in the calibre library before posting your reply?
