In Spain there is no standard size for books. The most common sizes that you can find in a bookstore would be these (approximately):

Small book: 11 x 18 cm
Medium book: 13 x 20 cm
Large book: 15 x 24 cm

(See attached picture).

This is how they are closed. But when you read, you open the book. Fully open their size would be:

Small book: 18 x 22 cm
Medium book: 20 x 26 cm
Large book: 24 x 30 cm

Any of these sizes we have used and continue to use thousands of times to read in bed. It is a common thing for anyone who reads books in bed. Of course the weight of these books varies, but I am convinced that the average is well over 300 grams.

My 10.3" e-reader weighs 310 grams and has a size in landscape mode of 17.5 x 25 cm (approximately). So I reaffirm that anyone accustomed to reading should have no particular problem using it in bed.

Is a 6" reader more comfortable to read in bed? In terms of weight and size of the device, undoubtedly. In terms of reading quality, it will depend on what you are reading and the specific person reading.

I have read in bed with 5", 6", 6.8", 7", 7.8", 8" and 10.3" e-readers. And with all of them I have read comfortably. As comfortably as when I read heavier and bigger paper books in bed. I will not be the one to put limitations on myself.
