Note 2/3 as a Bed Time Reader ?

IF I thought it was hard to get a hands on with the Kobo Libra/Forma, these Boox are simply not available to check out - and hard for a Canadian to buy.

But, if I manage to find a safe place to buy...

How realistic is the Note 2/3 as a bedtime eReader?
If good, I'd actually maybe take back my Kobo Libra and just get a Note for both MS Word writing, and eReader.

I know it's less than the weight of most trade paperbacks and larger books, but sizewise, is 10.3 just too awkward for bedtime ?

Lastly, does the Kobo app work on it? I prefer to get my books as epubs, and from Kobo or Chapters online.

Thanks again
