What attitude do you mean? Historical truth that is there for anybody to see if they want to and from which we should all learn? Well, then I apologize for it being what it is. I am very sorry that it turned out the way it turned out. Or the fact that France is famous for wine and cheese and not for good customer service? I truly have no control over that. But believe me, I am sorry about that too, and would rather have it differently.
I don't see a software update released, either. Maybe, after all, it will be released on Saturday or Sunday? Or maybe they have no respect for their customers, lie through their teeth and are totally undependable? And why should I be nice about it? Is it nice to promise that the software will be regularly updated, get people to buy product, and leave them with no updates and practically no customer service? Is patting Bookeen's head about it and saying "it's OK, we will wait calmly for however long it will take you, and if it's never, we'll be happy too" going to lead to better service and more respect for the customer? What is it about the idea that everybody has to be nice and forgiving about bad product and bad service? Why? Can I say that my opinion about Cybook is that it is the worst piece of electronic equipment I have ever owned, backed up by the worst imaginable customer service? Does it offend anybody? I am not offended by people claiming that it is an excellent product, even though my opinion is different. People visiting the forum may read all opinions, and form better one of their own. If they only read peans, and niceties how they can have a true picture?
I visit this forum to form my own opinion, and what offends me is comments like "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything." I say nice things if there is something nice to say. I cannot find anything nice to say about Bookeen and Cybook, therefore I should refrain from posting. And we'll all live happily ever after.

No one is asking you to say only nice things. You are just asked to not say stupid things - which is quite different.
Why are your words stupid? You atack the french people only because you feel frustrated about a late firmware upgrade; and you wish a company go under only because you don't like their costumer service (if your e-mails sent to Bookeen are in line with your comments here, it's no wonder you get no replies).
In what regards to "history", I fell your comments don't even deserve a reply. Their not really stupid - their're plain ignorant.
But, to be honest, I don't even believe you can get it...
