I have to disagree. One co-worker fried his Kindle Oasis when he tried to use his Huawei phone charger to charge it. Evidently, the power handshake failed and his Kindle was fed around 9V. Huawei's opinion was that the charger was designed for the phone and they were not responsible for consequences from connecting it to another device.
