Hello GrannyGrump,

In your omnibus edition, you put "The Magnificent Ambersons" (1918) in front of "The Turmoil" (1915); is this your own preferred reading order of the trilogy or is there any other reason behind your decision to go against the publication order?

The changed ordering just struck me when reading your introduction and the Wikipedia article, so I just wanted to get a clarification which of the novels to start with best.

By the way, I cannot thank you enough for your many wonderful editions here on MR!
