I enjoy Chandler's prose immensely. He is the embodiment of noir on the page, IMO.

I am also two books away from finishing up all the George Gently books that have been released in ebook format. It's been a fun ride, though a number of the titles have not aged well, especially in terms of depiction of gender and gender roles.
