@Caito: It sounds like you have done the right things. Getting an old device working again should start with a factory reset. Setup will be done after that. The older devices will have WiFi issues as the older firmware uses older security protocols that are no longer supported (by anyone). The Kobo desktop application should be able to do the setup and put the currently available firmware on the device. You can do that yourself and then do the setup over WiFi. Just use firmware version 3.19.x or later.

But, from the problems you are having, I suspect the SD card in the device is failing. Constant file system repair requests, errors writing files and the other issues suggest this. You have already requested an image and I sent it earlier. I would suggest using a new card. You can use larger card and expand the book partition to use it.In the N905C Touch, 16GB will work and 32GB probably will, but, that can depend on the card.
