Thanks for the image @Davidfor, it worked to revive the Kobo Mini and it is now booting properly.
I connected the Kobo Mini to my mac via USB and the Kobo Desktop can detect it, and I can initiate the eReader setup, it proceeded to download needed files.
Unfortunately, I encountered a blocker during installation, the Kobo Desktop gave me this message "Something happened to your internet connection and we couldn't finish your setup". I'm sure nothing is wrong with my internet connection so this message totally confuses me. I tried it several times already including the wireless method but I got the same message.
Any tips you can share please?
