It's the other way around, if you hold the 7.8" far enough away that it looks like a 6" model. But reading glasses and arms don't work like that.

So really the only difference is that you can make the font bigger and see the same amount of text, or you can have more text on the page, or see an image less shrunken on the 7.8"

I have a KK3 6" and a Kindle DXG 9.7", the main difference is as I outlined in the last paragraph. They are similar DPI.
I have 6" and 7" 300 dpi. I have the slightly lower dpi Original H2O which is 6.8". It actually looks slightly better because there is no capacitive layer, it's IR touch. The 7.8" Mars looks best in bright ambient light, but not as bright as the Original H2O, nothing is (all compared with no front light and a decent reading lamp). Is the Mars actually 320 dpi? Certainly it's very sharp.

The same total number of pixels DOES look better on a smaller screen than a larger, i.e. the 5" PRS-350 compared to any 6" screen also 800 x 600.
