Calibre could just use numbers like Project Gutenberg and it would still work just fine as a Librarian.
Folk who have troubles with Calibre, insist on using the OS and not the App to find books.

can tag books 6 ways from Sunday, to make just about FIND work.
The only weak spot, is FULL
series [index] support when many series are involved in a single book (Unlimited Series-like columns leads to DB bloat and should be avoided). Blame the Publisher
