Anyway, the bad thing about opening is that the ip68 is lost, but maybe it may interest me. Also the alternative is to buy a second-hand one, but I don't think it's worth it, it shouldn't be long for a new model I suppose.

Keep in mind that vulnerability to software jailbreak is of course software dependent. Now that they have patched all the currently know secuirty holes it is most likely that any new model will lack any that are known. So there is no known way at present to jailbreak current firmware on current devices without serial port access.
