With calibre 5, the 7.03 or 7.03.1 preview releases handle epub and kindle mobi/kf8 fairly well, pdf to an extent and KFX even with the voucher 2 not very well.

Please note that these are still preview releases. If you are concerned about DRM and are using Windows, I would recommend a calibre 4.23 portable install with DeDRM 6.81 for Windows users in parallel to a calibre 5 install.
