Not without a valid US address...
You would have to set up a completely different account with your Kindle app linked to it, and use gift cards to fund your purchases. I've looked into it, and it seems to be unnecessarily involved to keep your US and UK accounts in different silos. There's also the matter of inputting an address.
It's annoying since I've been buying from Amazon since before the geo-restrictions came in. It seems to be easier on Kobo, but even if I switch my country from the drop-down, it still won't let me buy US-only books. I suspect it's because I have a UK-registered debit card as payment method, so again I would need a second account using gift cards.
Seriously, it comes across as a restriction of trade. I appreciate that digital rights are separate to print rights, but there should be a mechanism to allow digital purchases from countries where there are no digital rights holders.
