K3 has two common faults. The first is a stuck power switch, the second is broken balls under the CPU. To eliminate the first case, just open the switch, it is on the latches and extract the badge from inside. This model turns on automatically when the battery is connected, so nothing else is needed for testing. If it is not, try pressing your finger on the CPU and see if then the Kindle works longer. If so, 99% reflow is enough.
