(That should never have been the case, FWIW. A power-off from KOReader should always have been honoring your KOReader screensaver settings, with an extra "Powered off" message, by default in a white pane at the bottom. I *did* fix some various corner-cases related to screensaver settings, but that only makes sense if by "homescreen" you actually meant "whatever was on the screen at that time", which was the broken behavior).
