You cannot tell it is there until you start scrolling, then it keeps reloading different pages if this makes sense. It looks the same as before, but with more recommended sections. So the top had my library and reading lists as normal, and the bottom of the screen has recommended for you. I scroll down, then it loads: "Based on your reading", Quick Reads, Discover Your Next Read. Scroll down again, Upcoming Releases, Page Turners, Expand Your Reading Horizon. Scroll down again, Mystery and Thrillers in KU (this applies to me so it may change based on others reading habits), Books from Goodreads friends, and Best Sellers in Kindle Store. Scroll down again, "More like _______ (book I just read), Popular this Month, More like ______ (another book I just read)
