I strongly agree. One of my flip phones (Cingular Flip 2) only has the apps that I actually need and will use with two exceptions: Internet (on the phone and I don't need it) and a note-taking app (something that I will use but is not on the phone). The main issue with it is that there doesn't seem to be a way to get text messages off of the phone (my main reason for moving to a smart phone where I can take screenshots of the messages if I need to get them off of the phone).

Meanwhile, my smartphone has over a dozen apps that I will never use but I'm worried that if I uninstall them it might break the phone. So I just hide them by not having them on my Home Screen. Meanwhile, I have spent literally hours in the Settings trying get the phone to work the way that I need to (such as setting it so that I can just tap the button to answer the phone rather than having to swipe it).

Modern technology frustration win.
