Yes and no.
KIM only works in the iOS and Android apps and on Fire tablets and there is no way to get a usable KFX file from those devices. So you actually cannot convert KIM.
On a regular Kindle or the PC/Mac apps those books are delivered without KIM features and can be converted in the same way as other Kindle books.
