Richmal Crompton died in 1969, Thomas Henry (the illustrator) in 1965, so the books won't be out of copyright in Canada until 2020

Just William and More William were published in 1922, so I suppose they're out of copyright in the US

Just William doesn't seem to be at Gutenberg, but More William is, including an epub version with illustrations

Although manybooks is a great resource, I do tire of reading: (illustration of girl with cat on her lap), instead of seeing the pic itself. I suppose it keeps the file size down but it really spoils the fun of reading.

I know the pics in my mind conjured by the author can be great but it's sometimes fun to feel like a child again.
