Although manybooks is a great resource, I do tire of reading: (illustration of girl with cat on her lap), instead of seeing the pic itself. I suppose it keeps the file size down but it really spoils the fun of reading.
I know the pics in my mind conjured by the author can be great but it's sometimes fun to feel like a child again.  |
Richmal Compton only died in 1969. All her books are therefore still under copyright protection in the UK, including the two available on Feedbooks - they are
only in the public domain in the USA.
