Hello,
I've bought a Kobo HD who was not charging.
After some quick test I've found three shorted caps arround the charging chip and the charging chip warm a lot when Usb is plugged.
After removing the charging chip, the 3 caps were still shorted.
I have no other Kobo glo HD but another Aura 2 (who has the same Cpu, same routing, etc).
After checking on the Aura2, the caps go to the CPU...
So I remove the Glo HD Cpu, shorts are gone.

Tomorrow, I will reballing the CPU but I think it is dead.
Maybe, I will try to swap with the Aura 2 Cpu.
Has anyone ever replaced a Cpu on a Kobo?
