Why would that limit the parents? If you're worried about a child reading the books that you read and want to limit the child's access, just put only the desired books onto the child's device and remove access to wifi.
Personally, as a parent, the only time I told one of my children that they shouldn't read something was when I wanted to make sure that they read it. I always figured that if they *could* read it, then they should be allowed to.
